Will the Bronx get its first Champion? DeWitt Clinton leads High School League!

Dewitt Clinton High School led the NYC PSAL High school Cricket League standings after Week 6, and is raising the hopes that the Bronx could get its first NYC high school cricket Champion !

And this is shortly after the Bronx made tthe NY Times and World News by opening 10 cricket fields, side by side, in Van Cortland Park ! Of course the inevitable detractors criticise the fact that the pitches are not turf, ignoring the reality that, around the world cricketers have learned their craft playing on ANY available surface

Dewitt Clinton is powered by the all round performance of Syed Islam who has taken the most wickets (19) so far this season in the League, and sits at # 2 in Runs Aggregate, with 445 at an average of 63 (5th in average), with a highest score of 108.
