College Northeast Championship in NY Oct 2 & 3 !

This weekend, Oct 2 & 3, the American College Cricket Northeast Championship takes place in NY.

Fall is now College Cricket season, kicked off by the American College Cricket Midwest Championship, in Big 10 country, last weekend. Purdue University came away the winner of the E Gordon Gee Trophy….which college will win the Northeast Championship ?

The strong York College cricket team will be challenged by Rutgers University, Boston University,New York University-Polytechnic and City College (Cuny) .

York College boasts 2006 Under 19 World Cup star Akeem Dodson and dynamic Karan Ganesh, they also have a good pacer in Yasneen Khan.Their Captain,Mohammed Suleman, has proven to be astute.

NYU-Poly’s Captain Adrian Gordon,is one of the fastest bowlers in the USA. Rutgers includes stars such as its Captain Nisarg Choksi.

Boston University, an American College Cricket pioneer, returns with new faces and some veterans, Ankush Chandra, Shilpin Makwana and Mandela Kiran have particpated in both American College Cricket national Championships.

City College, led by Rifat Hussain, is an unknown quantity, but with a base of cricket-strong Brooklyn, is likely to be a force.

York College 2 vs City College 2 in the morning start time 9 am

FINALS in the afternoon 2 pm
