WOODLEY FIELDS SAVED !

Largely because of the sterling efforts of P Daivd Sentance, the renowned Woodley Fields (officially the Leo Magnus Cricket Complex) has been saved from being turned into a Sanitation Plant.

In the words of David: ” Encino Neighborhood Council agreed to leave the land-use at Woodley in its present configuration. Encino City Council accepted the Encino Neighborhood Council’s recommendation unopposed. Woodley is fine for now but we must be vigilent and build coalitions with the community in which we’re housed.”

David continued ” While I was there Curtis School asked for a land extension and I suggested a cricket pitch. The South African born headmaster agreed. Pays to be out there and active! ”

Here is a piece American college Cricket did on the issue after David Sentance brought it to light.
