NYC High Schools Playoffs begin ! 28 schools down to 16.now knockout !

The Playoffs begin ! The 28 Teams in this year’s NYC High School cricket league ( proper name ,PSAL – Public School Athletic League- are down to the Final 16, just like the recent T20 Wrold Cup.

2 FD Roosevelt HS 10-1
3 Van Buren HS 10-2
4 Aviation HS 10-2
5 Midwood HS 10-2
6 Lehman HS 8-3
7 Willam C Bryant HS 8-4
8 Hillcrest HS 7-5
9 Sheepheads Bay 9-3
10 Abraham Lincoln HS 8-4
11 Lafayette HS 9-3
12 Newcomers HS 6-6
13 Brooklyn International HS 8-4
14 Franklin Lane HS 6-6
15 John Adams HS 6-6
16 DeWitt Clinton HS 7-5

Whilst they made the Quarter Finals, the Champions of 2008 & 2009, Newcomers High School have 6-6 record this season. John Adams High School, which was the Runner-up in 2008 & 2009, also has a 6-6 record.

Richmond Hill High School is the favorite to win this year’s Championship. Last week their top all rounder Kavishwar Bridegpaul scored a hard-hitting century . Bridgepaul also bowls very fast, and was a surprise omission from the USA Under 19 World Cup Team
