Halftime Update

On this sunny Florida day at Central Broward Regional Park, Jamaica and USA are going head-to-head. Jamaica won the toss and chose to bat.

Adrian Gordon (NYU -Poly) opened the bowling and did well until his last spell where he gave up some runs. Andy Mohamed (TCI) fielded well for USA saving quite a few boundaries.

Pagan made a convincing 94 along with a 52 by Lambert, 48 not out by Baugh and Hyatt with 73. The wicket proved to be a little slow along with a slow field. The score might have been higher with a quicker outfield. USA will be up for a challenge chasing 305 runs on this ground, but I am sure they will be up for the challenge

Jamaica is 200 for 2 off 39 overs.

Lambert – 16
Pagan – 93

160 for 2 after 30 overs.

Marlon Samuels was caught by Orlando Baker for 11 off of the bowling of the skipper Steve Massiah. Pagan is still occupying the crease with 69 runs.

Marlon Samuels and Pagan occupying the crease with the score being 140 for 1 after 27 overs.

UPDATE 1
Today sparks the beginning of a bright day for cricket in the United States; a statement to be taken both literally and figuratively. Cricket in America is growing at an exceptional rate which is validated by the first ICC International game to be held on U.S. soil taking place in Sunrise, FL. However, the Sri Lanka and New Zealand match will have to wait since the weekend is inaugurated by a 50 over ODI between Jamaica and USA. Jamaica has opened the day with a steady run rate of 6 an over after the first ten with the score being 62 with no loss.

Adrian Gordon NYU- Poly opened the bowling for the U.S. and proved his worth as one of the quickest bowlers in America. It seems that his training over the past couple of months which was facilitated by American College Cricket has proved to be essential because he is in superb shape. Other young players on the roster include Andy Mohamed and Aditya Mirsha. However Aditya will not be participating in the match.Future Updates will be coming soon
