Home of American College Cricket, Moosa Stadium, to get ODI status !

It was a beautiful crisp morning, made even more delightful that I woke up at an actual cricket stadium – a very unique experience. On one of my many trips to Moosa Stadium, Sakhi parked a Luxury RV on the premises for me to stay in.
It was such a magical experience that I got in the Cadillac Escalade he made available for me, went to a Sonic, bought breakfast and went back to the RV so I could have breakfast whilst relishing the sight of an actual cricket field before me.” – Lloyd Jodah.

Moosa Stadium has been the “Home of American College Cricket” since 2013, when the field was first set to play on. We’ve filmed for SONY there, played South West Regionals and our All Star Series many times, as recently as Nov 2021. Saurabh Netravalkar, current top USA fastbowler who will feature in the 12 ODIs to be played at Moosa in May/June will recall he first played at Moosa as American College Cricket All Star Captain 5 years ago.

Sakhi Muhammed has been a pioneer, like American College Cricket, in demonstrating that cricket in USA has to move forward with private investment – he built the 1st privately owned facility on a commercial scale despite the ups & downs of the uncertain USA cricket landscape. Through it all has been consistent support from American College Cricket & its high profile tournaments.

At one point the Stadium lay dormant and it was American College Cricket that helped its return to action, albeit with a Flic pitch. For our next event he brought back Sam Plummer as Curator, and together they resumed the work they had begun together. Whilst others brag about their “non-profit” status, Sakhi has been an American entreprenuer for cricket.
Moosa Stadium in Houston will officially become the second ODI venue in the United States, pending final ICC accreditation, with the venue providing great quality grass wickets and infrastructure for both series.

The full schedules for both series are now confirmed.
