For the Deryck Aaron Jodah Trophy.
Harvard vs Northeasern –
Northeastern won the toss, and decided to bat. The decision seemed vindicated when the openers put on 31 in 4.4 overs before Aditya Santhanam went for 23. Eshank Doijode made 20 and with Akshay Choudhary put on 45, and 11.4 overs the 2nd wicket fell, with Northeastern on 76. A partnership of 41 followed when Prathmesh Jakkanwar was bowled for 20 with 3.1 overs left. Choudhary in the meantime had kept his team steady before he was run out for a well made 60 off 46 balls with 6 fours. Northeastern ended with 147, which was a good total to defend in the reduced 18 overs.
Harvard lost 2 early wickets, Captain Vik Jayaram and former Captain Manik Kuchroo to Sumeet Usturge but Nikhil Gopalkrishnan and Ahmed Gondal took over the game, Gopalkrishnan smashed 71* with 6 fours and 3 sixes in 45 balls whilst Gondal’s 43* took 26 balls & had 4 fours and 1 six !
