10 New Cricket Fields open in the Bronx ! Site for 2013 North East Regionals ?

American College Cricket action that may soon be seen at Van Cortland Park
In much of the USA its often a zero sum for cricket when it comes to facilities – its players get a field in one area, & lose a field in another area. Not so in New York City !
 
This past Sunday, TEN cricket fields were opened in the Bronx and the New York Times reported on it !
 
“The new cricket complex, designed as part of a $13 million renovation of a wide, grassy expanse of Van Cortlandt Park ……(now) the Bronx has a total of 18 dedicated cricket fields, more than any other borough, according to city officials. (Brooklyn is next with 16 fields, followed by Queens, with 13.)” and Staten Island at least 1.
