National Rankings Nov !

It’s cricket season on TV in USA & Canada ! Watch American College Cricket games every Sat on TV Asia at 7 pm in the US & Canada . American College Cricket was the first to webstream domestic cricket in March 2010, then in Oct 2011 was the first to put the game on TV in the US & Canada, with TV Asia.

Member colleges may begin registering for the Nationals, the 2013 American College Cricket Spring Break Championship, taking place March 12 -17 in Ft Lauderdale. Contact Lloyd : Dogevpr2@aim.com to register.

Power Rankings are based on :

1 – Off the Field Performance – such as:
promotion of AmericanCollegeCricket.com on Facebook, Twitter etc;
elevation of your Club & American College Cricket’s profile in school media & external media.
motivating increased support from your school in the form of finance,practice facilities, cricket field etc

2 -On the Field Performance :
– most recent,2012 Regional championship participation & performance
– individual & team behavior, on & off the field, sportsmanship.
– 2012 National Championship performance

Teams must play in at least 1 American College Cricket tournament to be eligible. American College Cricket now includes over 60 colleges in the US & Canada. We have many new teams not in the top 33 : Princeton, University of Memphis, Northeastern, University of Alabama, University of South Alabama, and a number of others to be announced.

Negative actions = negative Rankings
Teams can improve their rankings, even when not playing.You will note “Power Rankings” are heavily weighed by Off the field factors. Here are just a few so new clubs get a clear picture of what’s required:

New club Harvard rocketed into the Rankings with major media accomplishments – one of the most shared/popular articles on AmericanCollegeCricket.com, 2 articles in the Harvard Crimson, & was featured in the Yale Daily News.

LIU-Brooklyn’s Sandeep Devarshetty got the most media ever for a club before actually playing a match ! Iowa State’s promotion of our TV Asia season is excellent.

Arkansas State organized the first South Central Regional, whilst Boston University produced an excellent video (in uniform) explaining the game ! Virginia Tech reached a big new audience with their in-school presentations whilst Cleveland State alum Sadiq Khan is a valuable resource.

National champs York College CC adds to their on field play with supreme support for American College Cricket off the field, including setting up, and picking up matting & Facebook promotion, especially our TV Asia season
