Amarnauth Persaud slams 90*,& 56* tops High School averages !

The 5th week of the NYC High School cricket league (PSAL) took place this week in cricket fields all over New York City.

Here is the report by Ricky Kissoon.

John Bowne’s Mohammed Sadat slammed a ton (119*) against High School of Construction, while Taher Miah took seven wickets against Bronx HS of Science.  Miah edged out Lincoln’s Bilal Khan by one wicket to become the leading wicket taker (17) thus far. 

Van Buren’s Amarnauth Persaud continued to have the season of his life after missing out on his third century (90*), and also scoring 56*. Persaud leads all players in total runs scored and is sitting comfortable on the highest batting average (149) thus far. 

 Amarnauth’s numbers remind one of his hero,fellow left hander Shiv Chanderpaul who is also difficult to get out !
