SUNDAY JUNE 5th – National Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown,NY – “Swinging Away”
11 a.m. – Meet American College Cricket Players, Bullpen Theater
Meet cricketers from American College Cricket teams ,and American College Cricket President Lloyd Jodah who will talk about the history of college cricket and answer visitor questions in this 45-minute program.
1 p.m– 3 p.m. – Cricket Demonstrations
– members of American College Cricket will interact with Museum visitors and demonstrate the basics of playing cricket,and some of the tactics and techniques of a successful cricketer, as well have provide photo opportunities.
A TV Crew from TV Asia will cover this historic day. Filming will also be done for a documentary, and TV show.
This is the first ever Cricket Exhibition in the 74 year history of the National Baseball Hall of Fame
Vikas Pandya (University of Minnesota), Sahil Jolly (Carnegie Mellon), Hayat Khan (Boston University), Az Cheema (NYU-Poly), Navjot Singh (NYU-Poly) and Adrian Gordon (NYU-Poly) will represent American College Cricket, along with Lloyd Jodah.
On Saturday June 4, Lloyd Jodah will be part of a special roundtable discussion about the connections between baseball and cricket, both past and present. Other guests will be Paul Hensley of the C.C. Morris Cricket Library, and Manhattan College professor and sports historian George Kirsch, together with Hall of Fame senior curator Tom Shieber.
