Finals – Purdue vs Ohio State ! Big 10 Powerhouses faceoff !

It’s 2 Big 10 schools in the Finals of the first American College Cricket Midwest Cahmpionship !. This first Midwest Conference Finals will feature cricket clubs from Purdue University and Ohio State University ! The Boilermakers vs the Buckeyes, in cricket !
Both teams have scores over 200 runs in the tournament so far, with Feraz of Purdue blasting 116 whilst Somavat of Ohio State blasted 97 for top individual scores.
It should be an exciting Finals and Nicole will be reporting for American College Cricket, whilst Nino DiLoreto snaps the photographs.
Great fielding by Purdue rocking Ohio State ! Superb diving catch dismisses OSU’s star Somavat ! Buckeyes 24 for the loss of 5 wickets !
Ohio State 96 all out ! Not a strong total, but the Buckeyes have good bowlers. Purdue’s batting has been firing on all cylinders, and Feraz is in tremendous form.
OSU President E Gordon Gee,one of the top University Presidents in the USA (Time magazine named him one of the top 10 ), came to the game today.
The winning team will get the E Gordon Gee Trophy. President Gee is happy to see Big 10 schools competing agaisnt each other in another sport, this time cricket !
Breakthrough for OSU ! Feraz Arif, the Purdue centurion, is run out off the 3rd ball from Somavat !
in the 8th over – Purdue 41 for 2 !
Purdue 65 for 3 off 12 overs. Somavat still has 2 overs to bowl ! OSU fighting, but Purdue has wickets in hand

Purdue – 82 for 3 off 15 overs ! 97 to win !
Only 15 runs in 30 balls to go, but OSU fighting all the way !
Purdue loses a wicket – 84 for 4 after 16 overs !
Only 2 runs for Purdue to win in the 17 th over ! and Purdue wins the first American College Cricket Midwest Championship ! They will take the E Gordon Gee Trophy back to Purdue !
Abhijeet Deshmuuk , who took 4 wickets and set back Ohio State is declared the Finals MVP !Abhijeet is also President of the Purdue Cricket Club.
Feraz Arif gets an Award for scoring a magnificent century. He also scored 67* in Purdue’s first game but was run out off the 3rd ball in the Finals.
Romel Somavat OSU gets the Championship MVP Award – a special American Dream bat from BIG League USA- for his glorious batting, and strong bowling, whilst captaining the OSU side.
