5 Days of Games in the Stadium for Nationals!
Broward Cricket Stadium, & its side fields, has been a home of American College Cricket since March 2009, when the Stadium was new, and not being used. We were there throughout the tough years when the Stadium was referred to as a “white elephant”. We brought the NY Times in 2009, the first Live Stream of cricket in USA in 2010, TV in 2012, ESPN in 2014 and SONY in 2017. In 2016 and 2019 India played there, the West Indies and other International cricket and the Jamaica Tallawahs and CPL have graced the Stadium, and with the 2024 T20 World Cup coming up many games will be played on its pitches. Worldwide Sports Management has helped to solidify the Stadium’s position & even upgraded its lights to International cricket standards.
“For the 2022 American College Cricket National Championship we are happy to announce that we will use the Stadium for ALL 5 days of the Championship, playing at least 14 matches on the beautiful pitch and outfield, the only ICC-Certified Stadium in USA and Canada,” said Lloyd Jodah, American College Cricket President, “The Stadium has been regarded as the American “Lords” since we started playing at the Park in 2009, so for the players in this Championship it will be an even more memorable experience, playing on pitches that Virat Kohli, M.S Dhoni, Chris Gayle and other stars have played on. Our All Stars and UT Arlington recently had the pleasure of playing at Moosa Stadium, the only other cricket Stadium in USA, another example of our efforts over the past 13 years to provide top facilities for our players.”
“With Covid still being a concern for many, this is deliberately a small Championship, but it’s impact will be huge, as in addition to our SONY partnership, we now have the partnership of “Cricket for India” with its millions of Followers, one of the largest cricket sites in the world. The pictures and videos coming out of our 5 days in the Stadium will also be a wonderful build up to India’s return visit in early August 2022.” Lloyd said.
