This Saturday Dec 15 at 7 pm on TV Asia is one of the most thrilling matches of the season : Coca Cola brings you Rutgers vs York College (National Champions) in the Finals of the American College Cricket North East Championship !
It’s the 9th game of the TV season, which will culminate in the Spring Break Championship in March.
The North East Championship is played for the Deryck Jodah Trophy, and past winners are Rutgers University and Toronto’s Ryerson University. American College Cricket is sponsored by Coca Cola and Dish Network.
This game, which is being shown on tape-delay featured some high powered batting from both sides : Rutgers has Haider Ali who scored the first century (119) ever on TV in the US & Canada and its Captain, opener Nisarg Choksi.
York College features the Chris Gayle-like opener Akeem Dodson and Karan Ganesh, both of whom have played for the US, as well as hard hitting Shemas Rehman, Bilal Shahid and Abbas Khizer, the captain.
Both sides feature strong bowling and vewers can expect an action-packed tightly fought contest !
