Beach Cricket Championship starts Nationals !
The Beaches of South Florida are amazing, and world famous. Tourists, and in March a million Spring Breakers flock to Ft Lauderdale and surrounding areas for a great time. It’s one of the reasons why Ft Lauderdale was chosen, back in 2009 to be the site of the 1st National Championship for colleges in cricket ! Of course the world class Broward Cricket Stadium, was another main attraction. Indian Cricket followed us, and they have since played at Broward in 2016, 2019 & 2022. They will be back in July 2023.
This year, in addition to the National Championship at Broward Stadium, American College Cricket will have a Beach Cricket competition on the Beach, for its own players as well as other Spring Breakers ! The Event will be Live Streamed, and people around USA & Canada will get an insight into the fun of a Ft Lauderdale Spring Break, and cricket.
The Las Olas Beach is the site, a few minutes from Broward Stadium, but there are so many gorgeous beaches that we are still considering other locations. The Event is expected to grow tremendously each year, and prove to be a fun attraction for college students, even non-cricketers.
