Ishaan Bansal (PITT) wins Jamaica Tallawahs MVP Award!
American College Cricket is always looking for ways to reward our players. Before the Lockdown the Jamaica Tallawahs has come forward with this MVP Award and one of our Players got the opportunity to spend a week training with professional team Jamaica Tallawahs in Jamaica. Resuming this years, but for our All Star Weekend, our MVP got the opportunity to spend a week training with the Tallawahs in the Caribbean. For our National championship there will be another Award, incorporating the Indian Team’s visit in July.
There were great performances, on the CCUC Canada team which were also eligible for the Award but Ishaan Bansal (PITT), the Vice Captain of USA made it an easy decision when he batted through the innings for 68* in the 2nd game to steer USA to a much needed victory.
Game 3 USA had to make 199 to win, a really tough task, but Ishaan took control & blasted 91 in 51 balls 6 fours, 7 sixes always keeping his team at the required run rate, with a confidence that was inspiring to his team mates. We’ve had many great innings and this certainly is among them !
The winner of the Jamaica Tallawahs MVP Award for All Star Weekend in Ishaan Bansal (Pitt).
