All Star Weekend Jan 28 & 29, Broward Stadium !

The American College Cricket USA vs Canada Series was started to commemorate the 1844 cricket game in NYC which began International Sports and gave young men from different countries the option of battling on a sporting, instead of a Battle Field.

Momentous as this 1844 event was, it’s not celebrated by USA or Canada, the ICC or any organization except American College Cricket.

Our 1st Series was May 2015 in Toronto, fittingly on Memorial Day which honors all the men who died in our wars. It was tough to make it happen as Canada was not generous with visitors’ visas. However we had a great time and Anja’s presence really added to the occasion, with Obaid Babar doing significant organizing at the Canadian end.

We decided to do the event twice a year with the 2nd being in USA, specifically California, in Jan 2016. Saurabh Netravalkar played in that one, and was to be Captain in Jan 2017 at Moosa Stadium. He was graduating the same weekend we played in May 2016 and so could not attend.
Other Series followed in Orlando, Toronto again and Ft Lauderdale.

Canadian College Cricket has won 4, American College Cricket 4, with 1 in Toronto being drawn. Overall Canada has won 13 matches to USA’s 12.
Hassan Mirza (Ryerson) has scored 131* and 99 in toronto Yug Rao (Ryerson) a century.Meetul Patel (Everest) & Krithik Udayshankar (FIT) scored Centuries in Toronto.
