2 more selected for Canada from Humber & Ryerson !
Starting with York University back in 2010 and continuing with Ryerson, many American College Cricket players have been selected to represent Canada. Additionally many have also been drafted in the the Canadian pro league, called GT20.
Now current Humber College fast bowler, and leader, Nauman Zafar has been selected to tour with the Canadian team to the West Indies, to play in the Caribbean Super50 – a 50 over competition. Zafar has a smooth run up and dangerous yorker, and impressed Lloyd the first time the American College Cricket President saw him bowl as a Canadian College Cricket All Star. He also played in the American College Cricket National Championship and North East regioanl this year.
Alumni Rayyan Pathan (Ryerson), the tall fast bowling all rounder was also selected. Rayyan played for Ryerson when the first joined American College Cricket in 2011. He came back as an All Star in 2017 with a key hard hitting innings, showcasing his batting.
The Captain of the USA team for the Caribbean Super50 is Saurabh Netravalkar (Cornell), former American College Cricket All Star Captain.
