National Championship Results ! Final 4 on SONY, presented by SLING !

AI2O3286LEFTYThe 11th American College Cricket National Championship this year took place at 2 venues, CBRP usual and Miramar which had never been used before but its 2 fields were similar to CBRP. BATTING

Centuries = 4

Salik Iqbal (NJIT)            115
Neel Patel (NJIT)            106
Anees Saeed (Ryerson)  105
Ryan Scott (UMD)          104

50s = 40, other than Centuries- Rahul Gurajala (WVU) scored 3 50s ; Jean Paul Rocke (Ryerson) scored 3 50s.

Former Big Bash Sydney Sixer, and Australian First Class player lived up to the hype by scoring 83, 20 and 83*

7 batsmen scored over 200 runs. Incredible consistency by Raj Shekhar (WVU) who topped the aggregate with 272, but only scored 1 50 and still averaged 45.33 with a SR of 159.

Remarkably Rahul Gurujala (WVU) struck the most 4s, and only 1 six. Clearly a batsman in the traditional mold of playing ground shots well. In the meantime Ryan Scott (UMD) smashed 26 sixes.

There were 34 team scores of 150 or more, including 8 over 200. The highest team score was 261 by NJIT in which 2 of their batsmen scored centuries.
Through our partnership with Sydney University a curator , 22 year old Jake, came from Australia to assist, and learn from Broward County Stadium’s Chief Curator Melton Taylor. This program started last year and will continue every year.

Cricclubs provided the Live Streaming every day, as well as the Graphics on the SONY televised matches.
Jamaica Tallawahs CEO Jeff Miller presented the Awards. Jeff is also CEO of Worldwide Sports Management which is responsible for bringing International cricket to Broward County Stadium including India later this year and other major International teams.
