Sujal Patel [South Alabama] burst onto the scene at the 2018 American College Cricket National Championship, topping the Runs Aggregate with 258 runs from 6 innings, 1 not out. He averaged 51, with a Strike Rate of 204 and a Highest Score of 113. He helped his team get to the Finals, in South Alabama’s best showing since the club was founded by Neel Patel a few years ago.
Sujal then topped the batting at the South West Championship in very tough batting conditions, 70 runs averaging 70 with 2 not outs. In bowling he took 4 wickets at Nationals but then excelled at the South West with the most wickets, 6.
Including Home and Away matches in 2018 Sujal played 12 Matches, batted 10 inning, scored 334 runs at an average of 47.7 and Strike Rate of 162 and a century 113. He bowled in 12 innings and took 12 wickets at an average of 15.08 and econ of 5.03. He took 6 catches.
At 5’11 and 168 lbs Sujal works on his fitness continuously and looks forward to playing for the All Star team and having another chance at winning the Chanderpaul Trophy in March 2019.
