Everest University Wins the South East Championship. UF 2nd.
CEO of the Jamaica Tallawahs and Worldwide Sports Management Jeff Miller presented the Awards at the conclusion of the American College Cricket South East Championship this past weekend at Central Broward Regional Park. Jeff reminded the players that the Tallawahs had hosted Arjun Verma Harvard last July for a week of training, all expenses paid, in Jamaica with the professional team. This year’s season MVP will get the same trip.
The CEO also talked about India’s trip to Ft Lauderdale next year, and promised some opportunities for American College Cricket players. Last July Lloyd assisted in the management of Bangladesh vs West Indies tour, and 2 American College Cricket players interned, one as an MBA student and the other, a Med student, with the Medical staff for the tour.
As usual Duncan Finch, Manager of Central Broward Regional Park and Stadium and his staff helped ensure everything went well – Lloyd has enjoyed a good relationship with the Park for 10 years.
The weather was awesome, and 4 matches were streamed, after equipment was replaced, perhaps damaged whilst in transit. University of Florida met Everest University in the Final, with Everest Rangers getting the win, to take home the Trophy. The Livestreams can be seen here
