Saurabh Netravalkar (Cornell) new Captain of USA Team.
Saurabh Netravalkar came to USA in Aug 2015 and Sept he was playing for Cornell University in American College Cricket. As a former India u19, India’s top wicket take in the 2010 World Cup u19, he was naturally selected for the American College Cricket North East All Stars in NYC then for the American College Cricket USA team to play vs Canadian College Cricket in California, a Series that’s played 2 times a year. Next he was made Captain of the team, it won 3-0 VS Canadian College Cricket.
His first American College Cricket interview video got 15,000 views, plus his action photos got him noticed all over USA, so when he became eligible to play for USA when ICC lowered the number of years to 3, he was selected to play for USA. After that he got a contract in the Caribbean Premier League and following a few more games for USA was made Captain.
Saurabh said, “When I came here in 2015 I had NO expectation of playing cricket… I heard of American College Cricket.. .I met its founder Lloyd Jodah….that’s how I started playing again….”‘
