The University at Buffalo Cricket Club is fresh from its involvement with Vibha – raising funds for kids in India, whilst also building the profile of cricket in the Buffalo area, by getting significant media coverage in the Buffalo media.
Our Northern Illinois Club, begun by Sreekar Yellapragada who has graduated, has raised our profile in Illinois, and we’ve started 2 new clubs, UIC & UIS in time for this Regional whilst a 3rd, Southern Illinois may be ready in time for the Mid Atlantic Regionals ! Last Spring Break American College Cricket President Lloyd Jodah met some students from SIU, who were coincidentally using the same hotel ! Imagine his confusion, think that they had showed up without being a member of American College Cricket or registering for the Nationals !
One of our most important clubs, College of Wooster has made cricket part of its Annual Homecoming, and will once more, despite being probably our smallest school, strive to show why they’re the Fighting Scots ! Iowa State, as always, was ready to host a Regional with the support of their Club Sports Dept .
Romel Somavat (Ohio State), recently inducted in the American College Cricket Hall of Fame will be attending the Championship.
