Anja Catrine from Norway to NYC – A College Student’s Life in the Big Apple !
2 summers ago we publish the blog of Alyna, a college student from Vancouver, spending time in NYC. This Fall its Anja Catrine of Norway – providing us her thoughts on fitness, fashion & generally a different perspective. Anja will also be our Interviewer for our Ivy League, & possibly some Regional Championships.
My name is Anja Catrine. Blond. Getting double chin when I laugh. I’m generally pretty bad in driving and running 60 meters. But I play soccer. I was an active gymnast at one time, and I love to be on stage. But in recent years there has not been much time for that …
Most people call me Anya. Some (two of my friends) says AC. There are few who says Anja Catrine, although I like it, and there’s only one person who calls me Catrine. I’m 19 years old, although I feel like a 16 year old and probably thinking that 50 year old philosopher. (At times I certainly acting like a 6 year old too)
Blogging has been something I’ve been wanting a long time. Because I like to take pictures. And because I like to write. I like to express myself. (Instagram has probably been my mini-blog for a while. Pity my friends) .
I packed my things and moved to New York to study Fashion Management and Entrepreneurship with Gateway. And I actually use the opportunity to blog. Both for my own interest and to keep everyone at home updated. But perhaps the most to take care of all the memories. And perhaps to share any thoughts and opinions that abound in my head … like that once in a while.
“You are the books you read, the films you watch, the music you listen to, the people you meet,
the dreams you have, the conversations you engage in. You are what you take from this.
You are the sound of the ocean, the breath of fresh air, the brightest light and the darkest corner. You are a colletive of every experience you have had in your life. You are every single day.
So drown yourself in a sea of knowledge and existence.
Let the words run through your veins and let the colors fill your mind. ”
