Troy Mars’ Dragons win NYPD Championship & Ray Kelly Trophy !

The 6th season of the NYPD United youth cricket league ended with an exciting Finals as the Dragons, led by Troy Mars, repeated as Champions , defeating MMZ Superstars !

NYC Police Comissioner Ray Kelly made time in his busy schedule, as he always does, to present the huge Ray Kelly Trophy to the Dragons – with American College Cricket President Lloyd Jodah in attendance.

Kelly greeted Jodah upon arrival and got a quick recap of the game, before taking the podium for the trophy presentation, photos, and speaking with the media.

TV Asia covered the event, and interviewed Inspector Khosiem who is in charge of the league , and team captains Troy Mars & Trevis Ross. Sargeant Rana, Elvis and other officers who handle the logistics  throughout the season were on hand as well. The NYPD provides uniforms, transportation,food, umpires etc for the league.

Local channel NY 1 covered the event, and the reporter, unfamiliar with cricket, received some guidance from the American College Cricket President. CLICK on photos to see whole:
