Buckeyes Club of the Year is OSU Cricket !
“Despite some great performances by other clubs, the most coveted award, the Best Club of the Year goes to the Cricket Club….”
The announcement came at the Sports Clubs Banquet at the Fawcett Center on the Ohio State University campus, held by the Dept of Rec Sports. The Cricket Club was chosen as the Best this past year, out of over 60 clubs at the University.
” The 11 of us present there were shocked, we could not believe our ears….! Even now I can here those words of the announcer playing in my ears…
Thanks to a certain Anupam Vivek…for putting in all the hard work and leading from the front…publicizing our club and for making all of us strive for this day…And congratulations to each and every member of OSU CC playing/nonplaying/wags (who come regularly to the grounds to root for us)..current members/ex-members ! “
Cheers !

“The Ohio State Cricket Club is truly one of the most exemplary clubs in American College Cricket, in fact they won our “Spirit of Cricket Award” this year . They played a great role in organizing our very first regional tournament in 2010 and then Club President Romel Somavat convinced OSU President Gordon Gee to attend the Finals.
As Club Presidents, Deepak Sridhar and Anupam Vivek continued the great work. It’s great to see the Club get this recognition from the University “, said Lloyd Jodah, American College Cricket President.
“Recognition like this help greatly our effort to return America’s Original Game-Cricket, to the mainstream.”
