Elections are coming up in October for the position of President of the USA Cricket Association (USACA) – there is a lot of work to be done for cricket in America, and this election is crucially important.
It’s simple: the candidates in the elections for the Presidency of the United States Cricket Association should have debates, and the debates must be webcast.

As the Leagues’ Presidents are the people who vote to elect the USACA President, this will give every League President the opportunity to see the Candidates present their platform, and answer questions.
Additionally, Regional executives, the cricket community and other interested public will also be able to see the debates.

Questions can come from League Presidents, administrators, players, and the cricket community at large ( or “stakeholders”), including online.

There are examples of formats for such debates, with a neutral moderator.

Candidates would be required to travel to a single location, to get this opportunity to present their cases to the constituents.

No doubt all of the USA cricket websites would carry the webcast, plus probably the ICC.

In 2010 American College Cricket webcast 3 games, then in 2011, we webcast 6 games of live action, plus our “draft” and opening and closing ceremonies. Emmy Award winning former TV producer Nino DiLoreto would gladly give his expertise to produce a simple webcast of the debates – a 2 camera shoot would be very low cost.
