Blind Cricket – Australia/Pakistan Series,new world record set !

Australia and Pakistan’s blind cricket teams are playing a six match-series in Australia from February 22 – March 01 2011. Pakistan took the 20 overs Series 3-0, dominationg the blind Australian team.

The three 40-over One-Day Internationals have begun, with the last game in the series scheduled to be played at the Adelaide Oval.
Pakistan are the current World Champions of blind cricket while the Australians on home territory will be hoping to better their performance following their 4-0 defeat in the Caribbean in June 2010. 

1st 20 over game : Pakistan beat Australia by 5 wickets
2nd game:            Pakistan won by 43 runs, Muhammed Jameel scored 97 runs in 47 balls
3rd game:             Pakiston won by 89 runs, Muhammed Jameel scored 104 runs in 65 balls,Anees Javeid 50 in 25 balls.    
 
Pakistan’s blind cricket team set a new record of 22 consecutive One-Day International victories as they swept to a 61-run success in the opening match against Australia in Adelaide.
 
At one stage they were 130 for five and Australia were anticipating restricting the World Champions Pakistan to a meagre total. But Muhammad Zafar came at number seven and turned the tables around, he scored 98 runs in just 53 balls and Abdul Razzaq played a captain’s knock of 67 runs.
 
Pakistan was eventually bowled out for 325 runs in the 35th over. Raymond Moxly took 3 wickets, while Peter Robinson and Bailie took two wickets each.
Australia, in reply, did well but fell short of the target of 326 when they scored 264 for the loss of nine wickets in 40 overs.

Heberley was the top scorer with 65 runs while Mathew Horsey and Lindsay Heaven scored 58 and 44 runs respectively. Abdul Razzaq took two  wickets
