USC Trojans & St Cloud U win !
Glorious sunshine greeted the 6 Teams that began the 2nd day of the American College Cricket Spring Break Championship today. The USC Trojans played the University of South Florida Bulls, George Mason U took on the University of Maryland (Baltimore County) team and the two Minnesota schools battled, players from the University of Minnesota battling St Cloud State U.
St Cloud State restricted the UMN guys to 113 all out. YMamsa 24, Singh 19 and Stewart 17 (2 fours) sharing the scoring. UMN’s scoring was mainly singles and two’s.Ekamayak took 2 wickets for 15 off 3 overs, and Beeram was Gucci-like in his 4 overs, but took 2 wickets.
St Cloud’s opener Siriwardal took matters into his own hands, recording the first 50 of the Championship, stroking 60* ( 7 fours). Moshed contributed 20 as St Cloud got to 114 for 3 wickets, and earned their first win.
Inn the meantime at the Central Broward Regional Park (CBRP), USC took it to the strong USF (Universty of South Florida) side. making 157 in their 20 overs. Tarun Sandhu 25 (2 fours),Rishabh 36 (5 fours) and Harshad 30 (1 six and 2 fours) blasted the Trojans to a strong total for the loss of 6 wickets.
Fast bowler Jeet then rocked the USF batting, taking 4 wickets for 28 runs off his 4 overs and effectively stymied USF ‘s response, helping to bowl them out for 116 runs, earning SoCal the win.
