Maryland (UMD) Alums top on East & West Coasts !

Mahesh Naidu, with former classmate back in India FS Clement playing together for Maryland, and Razi Khan.

Co founder of University of Maryland College Park (UMD) Mahesh Naidu is now married and living in California playing in the Bay Area Cricket League, whilst former Maryland Captain Razi Khan is still on the East Coast playing in the Washington Cricket League.

Razi Khan topped the Runs Aggregate in WCL with 521 runs, and had the Highest Average 65.12 including a Century.

Mahesh finished the 45 over Season as the Highest Scoring Batsman with 533 runs at and avg. of 48.5 (with 2 Centuries and 3 50s) 🏏
He also took 19 wickets and finished Rank 2 in the BACA league in overall Player Rankings inhis debut season (out of 419 players)🏆

In Mahesh’s words, ‘ Dislocating my finger in the first game (only to break it a few weeks later) I didn’t think I could play much but thanks to Charis‘s support through the season I pulled myself through recovery and back on the field 💪🏽 (Getting married also added some luck I guess 😅)

Meanwhile Abdul Jabbar and Ryan Scott made their debut for UMD at the 2019 National Championship, Abdul being 3rd in the Bowling stats, Ryan was 3rd in Batting, and are among the Nominees for College Players of the Year, Abdul is currently leading the voting.
