Sagar Patel (NJIT) is American College Cricket USA Captain !

As the USA celebrates achieving ODI status, it’s notable that just last year January the USA Captain Saurabh Netravalkar was the American College Cricket USA team Captain. This month the 8th American College Cricket USA vs Canada Series will take place in Toronto, and a new Captain has been named, it’s NJIT’s Sagar Patel!

When told the news Sagar’s reaction was, ‘Wow!”.
Then after he said, “I would like to thank American College Cricket for this great opportunity to play,and lead the team as Captain especially following in the footsteps of the illustrious previous Captains, like Saurabh.”

This year Sagar led NJIT to Nationals Finals after defeating Ryerson in the Semis. Lat year Sagar was also Captain when Ryerson defeated NJIT in the Quarters. NJIT has been a member of American College Cricket since 2010.

Sagar is an allrounder, who just finished his Undergrad, and is beginning his Masters in Information technology specializing in network and security.

The 8th American College Cricket USA vs Canada Series will be played in Toronto on May 17 and 18, and be Livestreamed, with the 1st game being at 6.30, Friday May 17. The other 2 on Saturday May 18 at 10.30 am, and 3.30 pm.
