Netravalkar (Cornell) seals win for USA With 2 Balls Left !

20190422_124121 August 2015 Saurabh Netravalakar arrived at Cornell University to do his Masters. The former u19 India World Cup star had decided to give up cricket to focus on a future outside cricket so he did not even bring his cricket shoes. A month later was playing for Cornell in American College Cricket, and ‘pleasantly surprised’ to find it ‘very competitive his cricket fervor came back.
Later selected for , and made Captain of the American College Cricket USA team, as a ‘setup’ or ‘audition’for captaining the USA team,as Lloyd Jodah,American College Cricket President said, ‘It was a no brainer that Saurabh had the experience and training, through his studies,to be USA team Captain. It was just a question of highlighting him as such, so we made him our All Star Captain, and he showed his mettle.’

Yesterday in a key game on the road to ODI status Saurabh provided inspired leadership again. Saurabh had bowled (3 for 47) & captained well but it was this Run out with only 2 balls left that sealed the win ! Aaron Jones scored 103, & Ali Khan took 5/47. Click link to see VIDEO
