The Lights at the Stadium has been good enough for American College Cricket and other cricket but not at an ICC standard for International cricket. When the CPL played night games in 2016 they brought in additional temporary lights at great cost.In 2017 they decided to forgo that cost, and the result was a very uncomfortable time for spectators in the Florida heat.Anothere effect was that there was no time to have the Opening game promised to American College Cricket.
Worldwide Sports Management as part of its longterm agreement with Broward County covering the Stadium has now installed new Led lights, 154 of them, on 8 poles to make the Stadium a shining new beacon for night International cricket, just in time for the Aug 4 and 5th games, West Indies vs Bangladesh, then later in the month on Aug 18,19 and 22 the Jamaica Tallawahs hosted CPL games.

Worldwide Sports Management owner Kris Persaud,Tallawahs’CEO Jeff Miller, Worldwide Sports Venue Manager Richard Louis and Event Coordinator Lloyd Jodah accompanied ICC Match Referee Jeff Crowe who was there to inspect and certify the lights were up to ICC standards.

The lights were approved, which means more International cricket can be scheduled going forward. Each March as well the American College Cricket National Championship Semis and Finals will be palyed under these new lights.

Another wonderful aspect to the new lights is that they come on immediately, unlike the past lights that needed warmup time. If necessary they can also be reduced in intensity by percentages, so for example when the game is done, and cleanup is taking place.
