UMBC wins Mid Atlantic Championship – Photos, Scorecards !
University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) – Mid West Champion
Last year Ivy League Champion University of Pennsylvania, led by Subas Poudel upset UMBC in a tight game to take the Mid West Championship.
This year UMBC seemed determined to redeem themselves putting up scores of over 200 at the the historic Cope Field at Haverford College, watched by legendary Kamran Khan, Haverford’s cricket Coach for more than 30 years.

New American College Cricket star Maeez Vaqar and the Drexel University Dragons played well to make it to the Finals, but ultimately UMBC, determined to get back to their winning ways, took the Trophy, and were the 2014 Mid Atlantic Cahmpions once again, receiving the Trophy from Ernie Precious, President of the British Officers Cricket Club, where the Championship was held.
Eijaz Mulla, former Penn State, maanged the tournament with Ernie and Lloyd, and presented the other Finalts’ Trophy to Drexel.
