One of the principles we have been communicating to our member clubs is the neccessity of getting attention (media etc) for your activities. By weaving cricket into the tapestry of mainstream Canadian and American life we will enlist more support and resources for the game.

Recently York University Community Newspaper, the Excalibur, contacted us for a story on the 2010 American College Cricket Champions, York University. In previous months Canada’s top paper “Globe and Mail” did a story on the team  and the University itself requested a Team photo to put in the University Admissions Handbook for International Students.

In the article, Excalibur’s Sports & Health Editor Victoria Alarcon said that York University cricket team playing in, and winning the 2010 American College Cricket Championship “stood as a huge landmark for Canadian sports.”
